We are looking for a Programmer to join our team in our Montreal Office!

As a Programmer, you will be responsible to strategically design and implement an in-house information system that supports core organizational functions. In addition, the Programmer will design, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications, including researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle.

Your day as a Programmer

  • Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects.
  • Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
  • Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs.
  • Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
  • Collaborate with analysts and designers in the development and initiation of new software programs and applications.
  • Assist in the preparation, research, and documentation of software requirements and specifications.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
  • Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues.
  • Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor, optimize, and allocate physical data storage for database systems.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.
  • Establish appropriate end-user database access control levels.
  • Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.
  • Develop standards and processes to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives.

Our ideal candidate

  • Experience working with API's, Azure DevOps., Power Platform (Power Apps; Power BI; Power Automate) and web services.
  • Full-Stack Developer.
  • Knowledgeable in VB.NET and C#.Net (Visual Studio 2019 or later), SQL Server 2016 or later, stored procedures, table designs, triggers, jobs.
  • SSRS (SQL Reporting Services - client side)
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and in English as the candidate will be required to interact in English with stakeholders (colleagues and clients) outside Quebec.
  • Knowledgeable in object-oriented design and secure coding practices.
  • Knowledgeable in Infragistics Netadvantage.
  • Agile Practices and Framework.
  • Source control working experience.
  • Team Player, Strong time management, communication and organizational skills.
