About the role
Partner Solutions Inc. (PSI), operating across Canada, was founded in 2000 with the goal of simplifying technology for brokerage firms, thereby enabling them to focus on sales and profitability. Today, PSI has over 100 technology professionals ranging from technical specialists (infrastructure, security, software development), support specialists, to administrative resources. We are currently looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our development team. Your role will involve performing various tasks to gather and detail requirements to guide developers' work. You will also act as a bridge between our development team and clients (brokers). This means you will occasionally need to contact brokers directly to meet operational needs and understand their requirements.
The degree of complexity can vary throughout the project lifecycle. Depending on the scope of the projects, testing and analysis may cover many platforms to thoroughly verify program logic while ensuring compliance with business requirements.
What you'll do here:
Analyze and translate organizational requirements, functional and technical specifications into development requirements.
Serve as a liaison between the user community and various IT departments according to the stages identified in the development lifecycle.
Write, review, and recommend modifications to documentation (business processes, system documentation, and procedures).
Help the team estimate and plan the effort required to deliver large and complex projects.
In consultation with business partners, gather requirements for medium to large-scale changes.
Identify risks and support project deliverables and scope by demonstrating effective planning.
Work with the product manager/stakeholders to realize the product vision; Consider product backlog prioritization.
Recommend upgrades to systems and procedures to existing programs as needed.
Manage escalated issues and incident management: investigation, analysis, and resolution.

What you bring to the table:

A bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Software Engineering or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 5 years of experience as a Senior IT Business Analyst (or similar role).
At least 5 years of experience in Agile/Scrum development in software engineering.
Knowledge of C# and web development.
Analytical mind and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize, manage, and readjust in case of changes.
Problem-solving skills.
Bilingualism (French and English) - Necessity to interact regularly with colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
