The HRIS Analyst will support in the review and analysis activities related to the mix of programs that support Modern Niagara's pay for performance culture. The incumbent is instrumental in providing the right metrics and analysis upon which total rewards decisions can be made. This role also supports the integrity of employee data and implementation of related HR information systems and tools. As an integral member of the People & Culture team, the incumbent collaborates with cross functional teams to contribute to their areas of responsibility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Management:

  • Participates and supports in: system optimization, application support, testing and implementing new functionalities, implementing system project initiatives, ensures data integrity and reporting.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of HRIS modules to align to the People & Culture strategies.
  • Contributes to establishing and continuously improving the HR databases with internal processes.
  • Support in making user manuals for newly implemented HRIS Procedures

Compensation:

  • Supports the Compensation Specialist in modeling for the annual compensation cycle including Annual Salary Review and Annual Incentive Program
  • Providing analytical support in the cost modelling of annual compensation cycle
  • Helps to formulate recommended salary scale adjustments in collaboration with the Compensation Specialist and P&C Business Partners
  • Support in developing and developing Total Rewards Statements
  • Assist in creating job descriptions, job codes and job evaluations

Reporting and Data Analytics

  • Assist in development and delivery of standard reports for ongoing needs
  • Plan and conduct end to end analysis including data gathering and validation.

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • Post-secondary graduate in Business, IT or Human Resources.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in compensation and benefits with exposure to other HR disciplines.
  • Minimum experience of 2 year with HRIS systems that include HR databases and compensation tools.
  • Experience with UKG and UKG BI systems is a must
  • Relevant designations e.g. CCP, CEBS, CHRP are not required but would be considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated organization skills

  • Ability to analyse process flows and identify areas to improve efficiency
  • Works well in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated awareness of Canadian compensation trends.
  • Proven ability to work with highly confidential information and display tact and discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within an HR environment
  • Timely responses to employee queries
  • Demonstrates accountability for shared goals and desired outcomes
  • Communicates effectively
