Synopsis of the Role:
As an Experienced IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) Administrator , you will be a crucial member of our integration team, responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and optimization of our critical B2B file transfer infrastructure. You will leverage your deep expertise in SFG to ensure the reliable, secure, and efficient exchange of data with our partners. This role requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining a high-performing and stable environment.
What You'll Do:

Administer and maintain the IBM Sterling File Gateway environment, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.

Monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and reliability.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to file transfers, connectivity, and security.

Configure and manage trading partner profiles, communication protocols (e.g., SFTP, FTP/S), and security settings.

Develop and maintain documentation related to SFG configurations, processes, and procedures.

Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., development, infrastructure, security) and external trading partners to onboard new connections and resolve integration challenges.

Implement and enforce security policies and best practices within the SFG environment.

Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing related to the SFG infrastructure.

Stay current with IBM SFG updates, best practices, and industry trends.

Potentially participate in the design and implementation of new SFG solutions and enhancements.
What Experience You Need:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in administering and supporting IBM Sterling File Gateway.

Proven experience in configuring and troubleshooting various communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP/S, HTTP/S).

Solid understanding of B2B integration concepts, security protocols, and data mapping.

Experience with database concepts and SQL (for troubleshooting and reporting).

Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Linux, Unix, Windows Server) and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

IBM Certified Deployment Professional - Sterling B2B Integrator or IBM Certified System Administrator - Sterling File Gateway.

Experience with other IBM Sterling products (e.g., B2B Integrator, Control Center).

Experience with API integration and management in the context of B2B data exchange.

Knowledge of industry-specific data exchange standards (e.g., PGP, RSA).
