What is the opportunity?
In this role you will get the opportunity to join RBC’s Digital team in delivering exceptional mobile banking app experiences to our clients. You will be responsible for requirements analysis activities on medium to large size projects where you will drive requirements planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in both business and systems analysis, a deep understanding of agile methodologies, strong agile experience, digital product experience, a background in financial services, and a passion for mobile banking.
What will you do?
Perform stakeholder analysis to identify impacted groups and stakeholder responsibilities.
Develop requirements plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates.
Manage risks, assumptions and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties
Define the business analysis approach including tasks and deliverables based on the project and delivery methodology.
Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to identify business priorities.
Facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, review and prioritization.
Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze and document detailed business requirements and system requirements using enterprise standard requirements methodology.
Verify requirements for quality and validate requirements with the impacted stakeholders.
Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives, following the enterprise and digital standards.
Resolve conflicts/issues on behalf of BA team and escalate as required.
Support Design, Development, and QE activities by providing requirements clarifications.
Support QE test activities including planning, defect triage, and root-cause analysis for requirements-related issues.
Support the consistency of standards and adherence to enterprise requirements methodology within own BA team.
Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and stakeholders.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Business Systems Analyst, preferably within large Financial Institutions.
Strong experience in both business and technical analysis, with the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
Experience with user stories, business and systems specifications, business context diagrams, business process maps, use cases and user story maps.
Experience working on Digital (Online and Mobile) banking projects
Hands-on experience with agile methodologies and working on agile projects
Experience in requirements elicitation techniques such as Document analysis, Interviews, Facilitated workshops, Observation, Prototyping, Focus groups, Surveys
Nice-to-have:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Institute –Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI – PBA)
Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or similar.
