Job Description

The position is part of the US Chief Risk Office (USCRO) IT team, which sits within Global Functions Technology (GFT) in the Technology & Operations (T&O) group. This particular role will support the immediate team with ensuring: 1) ongoing support to our application in which the business relies on for their regulatory submission of reports to the Federal Reserve as part of their Comprehensive Capital and Analysis Review (CCAR) exercise, and 2) ongoing efforts to ensure GFT's compliance with relevant and crucial IT risk policies, through remediation and monitoring.

As a Senior Business Analyst within the USCRO team, you will be accountable for maintaining and updating system specification and process documentation for the group. The knowledge of the system and processes will be leveraged by the the Software Development and Quality Assurance teams during the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), as well as for incident management. You will also be required to assist with compiling periodic status updates for the team, which are used to track the group's compliance with IT Risk policies.

You will partner with cross-functional teams across North America and work closely with various IT groups (within USCRO and outside), as well as business areas.

What will you do?

  • Developing and maintaining documents for IT applications and system specifications, according to existing enterprise standards and methodologies for requirements planning, analysis and documentation .
  • Assist with regular project status reporting by working closely with technology staff from various functions to gather necessary information. Compile and organize data into required format, and where necessary assist with creation of new reports
  • Eliciting the requirements needed to carry out business processes by leading requirement gathering meetings with stakeholders. Analyze these Business requirements and create documentation such as current and future state business process, user stories, data catalogues, business rules, use cases and user interface design
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional IT teams to articulate business needs in order to ensure delivery of scalable and efficient solutions across the CCAR application modules
  • Support the internal Software Development and Quality Assurance teams by providing requirements clarifications, validating that Functional System test plan and test cases have full coverage of the critical requirements, developing Functional System test cases, and other similar activities.
  • Support the development of end-user documentation and training
  • Assist the team with ad hoc tasks, as required to ensure the continued IT support of business's regulatory reporting submissions and compliance are successful.

Must Have

  • Requirement gatherings, partnering with stakeholders and achieving business success
  • Proficient in Excel (Pivot, filtering, sums, formulas across multiple worksheets).
  • Written and verbal skills and the ability to converse with various levels of the hierarchy
  • Ability to handle multiple requests and be able to prioritize competing tasks as required
  • Data compilation

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with SQL
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills
