Here is what you will be doing:

The Implementation team is looking for one Senior Analyst, Implementation to join our team, to inform and support implementation of multi-faceted and innovative programs and initiatives to support OHTs to improve population health and achieve the quadruple aim.

The Senior Analyst, Implementation will play a significant role on a cross-functional team, supporting initiatives to advance OHTs across the province. The Senior Analyst will conduct information synthesis, data analytics, research, and project management to advance and refine delivery of program implementation. As a key member of our team, the Senior Analyst has a strong service orientation, is resourceful and curious, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We are seeking a strong team player who places high priority on collaboration, active listening and equity while enjoying a mix of analytic and client-facing tasks. We are looking for strong written, verbal, and visual/graphical communication skills, excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to engage and partner with diverse stakeholders to embrace cross-disciplinary approaches and new ideas. Advanced skills in analytic tools (Power BI), MS Office (MS Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using virtual collaboration tools and platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, SharePoint, Azure, etc.) are considered strong assets.

Here is what you will need to be successful:

  • Enable knowledge exchange and information sharing amongst a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, integrating feedback and data to inform program design and delivery

  • Translate data and analysis from research, reporting and evaluation activities into meaningful communications, user-friendly tools, dashboards, process flows, current state assessments, reports, and presentations for use with OHTs, Ontario Health's provincial and regional teams, the Ministry of Health, and other key stakeholders

  • Inform the development of implementation strategies by conducting literature reviews and jurisdictional scans, synthesizing relevant evidence to support business planning and design

  • Ensure that priority programs and projects have a set of measurable objectives with appropriate reporting and evaluation mechanisms (quantitative and qualitative) to support assessment of implementation

  • Identify and track project risks and issues, including the identification of innovative and creative options for resolution, recommend courses of action that achieves quality outcomes and work process improvement.

  • Identify issues related to alignment of program implementation to principles of population health management and health equity

  • Work with staff from across Population Health & Value Based Systems, other branches of OH Provincial Office, Ontario Health Regions, OHTs and Ministries including administrative and clinical leadership, on cross-functional, collaborative projects

  • Perform cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Science, Health Administration, Business Administration, Data Management/Analytics, or related discipline

  • Master's degree in in one of the above disciplines is an asset

  • Advanced knowledge/skills and/or certification in data, project and/or change management an asset

  • 3-5 years of related work experience is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience conducting analyses and creating tools and resources to support implementation in a project or operational setting

  • Experience with collaborative tools/platforms to engage stakeholders (e.g., MS Teams, Zoom, SharePoint, etc.) required

  • Fluency in French a strong asset

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong service orientation with strong relationship-building skills

  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others

  • Knowledge of Ontario's health care system and key system priorities, including Ontario Health Teams

  • Strong research and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize and visualize data and analysis into briefing materials, presentations, and dashboards.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating project activities, from initiation and design to implementation, monitoring and reporting.

  • Experience selecting measures, indicators and metrics that align with project objectives.

  • Experience creating and managing surveys to better understand client experience.

  • Knowledge of patient reported experience and outcome instruments and data is an asset.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual/graphical communications skills, with ability to express complex concepts effectively

  • Superior ability to analyze and define problems, evaluate alternatives, propose recommendations to support decision making

  • Strong computer skills including the MS Office suite; knowledge of MS Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel as well as virtual collaboration/meeting platforms required (MS Teams, Zoom)

  • Statistical analysis software, SQL database, and data mining skills considered an asset.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team, work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and navigate competing priorities and ambiguous deliverables

  • Completion of diversity / cultural sensitivity training
