Job Summary

Job Description

As a SAP Techno/Functional Analyst within HR Technology group, you'll be part of a cross-functional team contributing towards various deliverables on new, transformational and/or annual projects related to HR technology. In your role you will understand HR business needs and ensure that system and technical requirements are identified, configured, developed and delivered in line with the strategic goals or objectives of the project. This will involve partnering with various team to assess, research, analyze and document business and systems needs in order to resolve HR and Payroll business systems issues by recommending business solutions and architecture that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.

The primary application used is SAP on Premise and experience in SAP Personnel Administration, Org Management, Benefits & Pensions, Time Management and Payroll and integrations to third party, vendors and other non-SAP applications is preferred. Any experience is any other version of SAP HRIS or any other HRIS systems are also preferred.

What will you do?
Understand and blend HR business needs, opportunities and risks into requirements and translate them into technical and functional requirements: identifying, tracking and resolving business systems issues and configure and develop them on SAP systems for all or most of personnel administration, benefit, pensions, time, payroll and other modules.

  • This position will lead the SAP system analysis for larger transformational projects that includes analysis of existing systems for recommendations for modernization and improvement.
  • Configure and develop in SAP system(s)
  • Testing and support all fixes and enhancements to various technical and functional areas; testing and support for any new/ transformational development as well as business as usual activities like annual SAP support pack implementations and for Year End OSS notes.
  • Act as techno/functional subject matter expert for any On boarding and off boarding of employees for acquisitions and divestitures projects
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex systems problem and be responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies.
  • Partner with the functional groups within the IT organization to communicate and clarify business needs, contribute to development of long-range system plans, and ensure products and services are aligned with business needs.
  • Work with an individual business unit or on multi-project assignments and guide and advise less experienced Business Systems Analysts.
  • Facilitate small to large meetings, requirement sessions, technical design sessions and walkthroughs.
  • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.
  • Estimate, analyze, design, build, unit test, do technical code reviews, support QA, implement, schedule jobs and coordinate post implementation support, etc. along with appropriate documentation of medium to high complexity programs following standard applicable RBC processes.
  • Provide consulting services on initiatives and proposals (small to large size and complexity).
  • Assess, research, and analyze business and system needs, exploring alternative options to recommend and implement technology solutions and designs that meet sponsor needs.
  • Lead small to large projects identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues.
  • Provide inputs to and effectively communicate & co-ordinate with internal service groups (i.e. Offshore team, Production Support, DBA, Architecture, Security, etc.) and external stakeholders.
  • Organize and participate in walkthroughs and reviews of technical specifications, programs and unit test plans, etc.
  • Participate in the technical evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software as applicable
  • Facilitate small to large group meetings for technical design, decision making, problem solving and task implementation, etc.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 10+ years experience in a business or functional analyst role with experience in techno/functional activities involving requirement gathering/analysis, developing process maps, completing configuration, developing solutions, creating technical development specs, performing application testing, and handling change management activities in support of SAP HR processes.
  • Experience working in and/or leading multi-disciplinary work teams/groups.
  • Advanced adherence to formal testing techniques/methodology, consistently delivering work product/deliverables
  • Adherence to formal Change Management Policies
  • Strong coordination skills. Able to lead meetings with and collect Business Requirements from various stakeholders from multiple areas - HR Business, HR Service Center, Technology
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Fast learner with strong soft skills for relationship management with various stakeholders
  • Knowledge of SAP modules that impact payroll (PA, PD, Payroll, Time, Benefits, Compensation, Finance).

  • SAP Certifications
  • SAP and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Experience
  • Understanding of Workday Configuration and integrations
