The Manager, Consolidated GTB Business Planning & Analysis' primary mandate is to leverage analytics, business acumen and interpersonal relationships to consolidate, communicate, rationalize, and challenge the business plans and results of the Global Transaction Banking business franchise globally. The role requires extensive analytical capability with exceptional excel skills and comfort with big data, as well as a refined communicative skillset in order to credibly and effectively challenge the business.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  1. Consolidation of Global GTB Business Plan: Support the Director and Senior Manager in facilitating Global Transaction Banking's business plan consolidation, with emphasis on Deposits, NII and NIR, as well as support from the Expense Management team for fulsome P&L reporting.
  2. Credible & Effective Challenge: Leverage insights on Transaction Banking global business developments and historical result trending, as well as effective relationships with counterparts in Canadian Banking, Global Banking & Markets, Global Wealth Management, and International Banking, to challenge the business and ensure business plans represent realistic growth opportunities and incorporate key global initiatives that drive inorganic growth.
  3. Business Case Reviews: Assist the Director & Senior Manager in the analysis and review of costing and benefit proposals for business cases and ensure Business Case Tools reflect GTB's business narrative for projects.
  4. Revenue Business Line Allocations: Support Global Transaction Banking in its continuous review of revenue allocation to business lines, ensuring GTB's revenue and deposit contributions are appropriately reflected in the business line P&Ls.
  5. Business Line Alignment: Leverage relationships with BL partners to ensure GTB specific reporting within each business line is representative of GTB's defined mandate, and that all reporting is aligned to the GTB Finance view of the business.
  6. People & leadership
    1. Drive positive employee experience: Mentor, empower and engage team members to foster high performance culture; and collaborate with team members to achieve or exceed goals.
    2. Ensure active strategy engagement with Partners: Foster a strong partnership with finance, products and IT&S and other groups to ensure alignment with overall bank strategies and facilitate execution.
  7. Regulatory/ Compliance: Strengthen the risk culture and internal controls: Recommend internal controls for expenses, change management to minimize financial and reputational risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, and/or Applied Science
  • 3-5 years experience in Financial Modeling, Finance Analysis.
  • The role requires advanced skills in data analytics and exceptional excel skills.
  • Exceptional spoken and English communication skills, Spanish fluency preferred. Front office experience a plus. Comfort leading meetings and managing stakeholders with differing goals.
  • Knowledge of business accounts, payments & cash management products and related business processes.
  • Graduate degree or financial designation (CFA, CTP) is preferred.
