What is the opportunity?
Platform Engineering Big Data team is looking for a Lead Data Engineer for on-premises Data Platform and will be involved as well in business sponsored programs including Compliance and Regulatory work. The Lead Data engineer will work closely with all Data platform and analytics teams in RBC.

- Data platform engineering
- data transformation
- platform automation, CI/CD
- level 3 support escalations
- vendor relationship
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- 5+ years of IT experience with data engineering and development expertise
- 5+ year Expert on Data Lake environments (Cloudera Data Platform preferred)
- 5+ years of Hadoop support or Development experience (HDFS, Spark, Scala, Hive, Sqoop)
- 5+ years of Unix/Linux experience
- Experience on main ETL platforms and BI tools (Teradata, SQL, DataStage, DB2/ORACLE)
Nice to Have
- Cloud engineering or development experience (AWS, Azure, Snowflake)
- Python/PySpark experience
- Devops Expertise such as Helios, Github, Jenkins,
- LLM experience
