What is the opportunity?

The Lead Business Systems Analyst (BSA), Metadata Solutions will be responsible for leading Junior BA for requirements gathering; and supporting development and testing teams for medium to large size project initiatives. You will be exposed to understanding the business nature and data representation of major banking products. You will work with business stakeholders, development teams, quality assurance teams and vendors to build industry leading, efficient, and scalable solutions. Our projects are large-scale and high-profile that include both critical internal business initiatives and regulatory projects that work with high data volume and enterprise-wide reach.

What will you do?

  • Lead BA/BSA team in detailed analysis and design phases identifying, tracking, escalating and/or resolving data and systems issues.
  • Works collaboratively with partners and stakeholders in Group Risk Management, Finance, Chief Data Office, and multiple IT teams.
  • Providing domain subject matter expertise to support the metadata platforming roadmap & analyze and review different options for integration and provide recommendations on the solution
  • Contribute to data model and system architecture decisions
  • Contribute to successful project completion within budget and on time by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Govern the adherence of the BA/BSA team to the enterprise standard requirements methodology in requirements planning, analysis and documentation.
  • Manage performance through regular coaching discussions, providing transparency on where the employees are at from a performance perspective.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Undergraduate degree or higher, preferable in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Finance with 7+ years' experience as a Senior Business Systems Analyst in medium to large size systems implementation, system integration, and/or systems re-engineering projects.
  • Knowledge and proficiencies in metadata management tooling and MDM (data lineage, data quality, data management and data governance)
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and ability for data analysis
  • Good problem solving skills in order to perform independent root cause analysis of data issues
  • Data Governance, Data Science, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or Data Reporting experience

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with Collibra, IBM Infosphere Information Analyzer, Tableau, ASG-Rochade
  • Detailed understanding of banking book and trading book products
