The opportunity

• Commercial management & Project Controls techniques, methodologies, procedures, and tools used to meet project objectives
• Monitoring, analyzing & controlling projects by integrating project finance, design management, change management, risk management, contracts management and other project management aspects
• Multidisciplinary budgeting and controls
• Cost, fee and cash flow management of projects
• Establish Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and handle schedule using Primavera 6
• Resource planning & management
• Earned Value Management application on projects for performance measurement & forecasting
• Change & Claims management
• Contracts Management
• Assisting with bid support tasks
• Multi scenario analysis and reporting using Power BI dash boards
• Attending project meetings and providing follow-up support, including preparing meeting notes, agendas, action lists, reminders, and actions items
• Conducting research, collecting, and analyzing data to prepare reports and documents

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business administration (finance/accounting), commerce, project management, or related subject areas
• Curiosity about cost and schedule analysis
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Sound analytical approach to work
• Professional demeanor
• Strong interpersonal skills needed for team-based working
• Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
• Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to address new challenges
• Able to work independently or as part of a large team
• Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future

Preferred:

• Solid understanding of Microsoft Project/ Primavera 6
• Solid understanding of Power BI
• Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (use of macros preferable)
• Basic knowledge of Business Finance
• Evidence of past internship or extracurricular activity in the field
• Consistent record of performing in a deadline driven environment
• History of technical presentations and technical writing
• Evidence of personal investment in academic or extracurricular field

Toronto Hiring Range - Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Montreal is $61, 000 to $70, 500 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Toronto will differ.
