The Director, Financial Analysis, Global Technology Finance Transformation will provide Finance leadership in the transformation of the Global Technology Spend Planning and Reporting as well as the Strategic Investment Portfolio (SIP), spearheading multiple programs and projects towards this goal and promoting continuous improvement of the Global Technology processes.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Manage multiple teams in charge of creating and continuously transforming the Global Tech Finance and EPMO processes:
    • Implement new process to increase Global Tech Finance data management capabilities and improve transparency in reporting at the BL/CF and CIO levels
    • Define and implement a standard taxonomy for Global Tech Finance reporting aligned with strategic BL/CF partners and the tech team (CIOs)
    • Ensure Transit & Department Structure alignment by organizing transits/departments under BL CIOs, CF CIOs, and Enterprise CIOs and reviewing technology org structure to ensure alignment to future operating model
    • Oversee Apptio global implementation with IBM (Apptio will be the financial system book of record and the key tooling to drive insight)
    • Implement global time tracking and project tracking in CA PPM
  • Support the VP, Technology Finance in aligning the strategic planning, related communication and change management activities with the Operating Committee, BL Stakeholders and Technology Leadership through:
    • Leading the recurring technology benchmarking process, working with external third-party experts, including Rubin Worldwide to track key financial metrics over the medium to long-term driving sustainable cost efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Continuously leveraging the findings to develop an optimization roadmap for All Bank Technology Spend and drive delivery and measurement of improvements over time
  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that supports the Global Technology Team to attract, retain, develop, and motivate talent, by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Minimum of 10 years relevant finance-related experience within a large organization
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a team manager
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field with either professional designation (e.g. CPA, CFA) or graduate degree (e.g. MBA)
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of financial and management reporting principles as applied to technology operations, thorough understanding of the business planning process, dealing with accounting systems, budgets and internal controls
  • Demonstrated track record of leading transformational projects
  • Excellent (demonstrated) analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Data modeling and data analysis
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills; confident communicator, able to convey ideas clearly and gain buy in
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel Macro VBA
  • Proficiency in Power BI report and dashboard development is a plus
  • Program management experience is a plus
