What You Will Do

This position is responsible for supporting the development and oversight of Asset Strategies and Asset Management Plans across the TTC fleet and fixed infrastructure assets. These strategies and plans inform the prioritization of capital and operating asset investments to achieve the TTC customer service objectives. This position will continually assess the relevance of the various tools, processes, methodologies and reporting practices under TTC's asset management strategy and recommend and implement changes as necessary to reflect the changing dynamics for the assigned departments. The incumbent demonstrates behaviours that support diversity, inclusion, and a respectful work and service environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. What Qualifications Do You Bring?

• Completion of a university degree in a related Engineering discipline, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
• Certification in Asset Management or in Data Analytics (e.g., SQL, Power BI) is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated project planning and asset management experience in the transit and municipal industry.
• Experience with asset management principles and theories, along with demonstrated asset management experience and tools.
• Asset management experience in preventative and corrective maintenance within the railway/transportation industry along with industry accepted training courses.
• Experience in the analysis of infrastructure, infrastructure planning and its operations.
• Experience in asset lifecycle costing and forecasting models would be an asset.
• Experience with Asset Information Management Systems (AMS) (e.g. Maximo IBM, GIS, SAP etc.) is considered an asset.
• Experience in asset risk management including the identification, analysis, evaluation/prioritization, treatment, and reporting on asset risks.
• Experience in business process mapping including the review, design, improvement of business process within an asset management system.
• Technical knowledge of the TTC's infrastructure network and associated construction/repair activities, and knowledge of TTC's budgeting process are assets.
• Knowledge of asset management principles, infrastructure and rehabilitation methods.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies (e.g. Occupational Health & Safety Act, environmental compliance, etc)
• Proficiency in the use of computers, including the MS Office Suite, MS Project scheduling software applications, database concepts and advanced use of spreadsheet automation.
• Proficiency in data analysis to support asset management and performance-based datasets. Creating, updating and maintaining a variety of statistical and key performance indicators and metrics is an asset.
• Ability to use query tools (Power BI, SQL etc.) would be an asset.
• Ability to work with large datasets, including data cleaning, validation, and visualization to create and manage asset inventories and data structures would be an asset.
