Purpose
Contributes to the overall success of the Client Insights & Analytics group within Global Banking & Markets globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Client Insights & Analytics team exists to support data driven decision making within the Global Banking and Markets division.

The mandate of the team is to:
• Increase Scotiabank's relevance with corporate and institutional clients
• Develop client strategies with the business lines and drive its execution through data analytics
• Support the monitoring of financial performance against plans, initiatives and objectives
• Leverage internal and external client data to facilitate opportunity identification
• Define and deliver CRM software enhancements that drive business value
• Liaise with technology to enhance data quality and integrity

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in project planning and execution by supporting senior consultants in various project phases.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to communicate findings and project updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Support the development of project documentation, including proposals, project plans, and status reports.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and recommend best practices.
  • Train end-users and stakeholders on CRM systems and analytics tools, providing ongoing support as needed.
  • Assist in the execution and management of the Salesforce product roadmap through collaboration with business and technology teams
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by performing regular audits and implementing data quality controls.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve analytics methodologies and CRM functionalities.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and adoption of CRM initiatives.
  • Support ad hoc data analysis requests as required
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

What You'll Bring:

  • Undergraduate degree in finance/economics/math/computer science.
  • 3+ years of experience in client analytics, data analytics, business analysis, financial reporting or similar role
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data analysis/data management preferably with a CRM system
  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly explain complex topics in a simple way
  • Consulting/project management background a plus
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations
  • Strong experience with process implementation and improvement
  • Strong experience in data reconciliation, management, aggregation and analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies such as Agile is a plus
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce or Python is preferred
  • Detail oriented and customer focused
  • Ability to be a self-starter who excels working independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience in a dynamic work environment with frequently shifting priorities.


Work Arrangement:
This position is currently a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will work at least 3 days a week in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
