YOUR IMPACT

As a Senior Manager, Data and Analytics leading our Data Engineering function, you will oversee the Planning, Management and Delivery of the core data engineering team. This team is responsible for our Data Solutions that drive strategic decisions and create business value, including Analytics, Operational data management, MDM and Data migration.

We are embarking on a journey to build a new platform following agile principles and introducing a metadata driven approach to all of our data products. Having created this vision we need to switch to delivery focus across first setting this up. They key initial focus of this role will be to lead a large team in delivering against this vision. Once in place we have an ongoing challenge to consolidate our disparate data environments onto our new platform. As we redefine how we deliver analytic solutions, you will play a significant role in influencing this transformation and ensuring its success.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and execute the delivery of Data solutions supporting our strategic objectives. By guiding product roadmaps, collaborating with architecture, and engineering teams, you will ensure timely and successful delivery of data-driven solutions. Additionally, you will partner with stakeholders managing operational processes to maintain the integrity and reliability of our supporting data products.

With deep expertise in data solution, delivery, data operations, product management, and stakeholder engagement, you will bring both strategic insight and tactical execution to the role. Your background in data analytics and solution design will be key in driving impactful outcomes. Ideally, you will be a self-starter with a proven track record in similar roles at other data-driven organizations.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • To drive the delivery of change across the data organisation to consolidate onto a single platform
  • To embed agile dev practices across the engineering organisation
  • To partner with others and lead the reimagination of data solution delivery, shaping the strategy and execution of insightful Data Products that drive business value.
  • To define and communicate a clear vision and strategy for identified Data Products to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams.
  • To leverage data analysis to identify opportunities for optimization and prioritize improvements to identified Data Products.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Certifications in a data analytics field a definite plus.
  • Experience: 3+ years in a management role delivering data solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data management, analytics, and data visualization tools such as PowerBI. Excellent SQL skills are essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex problems and to come up with solutions to deliver against hard timelines whilst managing risk.
  • Project Management: self starting planning skills, ability to lead Agile methodologies across the team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
