Security Governance and Sales Support protects and streamlines our global operations by crafting and upholding a thorough security governance program in line with top industry standards and practices. We focus on handling all security requests, including contract reviews to audits, related to sales swiftly and effectively, ensuring the security and privacy of our clients. We're proactive in identifying and reducing security risks with ongoing monitoring and constant improvement of security measures and guidelines. Building a culture of security awareness and responsibility within our team and among our partners is key to us, as is being a dependable resource for our sales teams.

Your Impact:

You will be part of a global and multinational privacy legal team in a dynamic global business. Reporting directly to the Director, Global Data Privacy & Compliance, you will play a crucial part in handling customer facing matters and addressing all privacy aspects directly related to OpenText's business, including customers, vendors, data subjects and partners.

You will have experience with various compliance frameworks and industry certifications, be able to effectively interpret and communicate the privacy requirements to internal stakeholders and teams, and lead efforts to produce actionable plans to meet privacy regulations. In this role, you will be involved in leading and sustaining the privacy compliance programs by working collaboratively with internal teams, SMEs, external customers, vendors, auditors, and other stakeholders.

What the role offers:

As a Lead Privacy Security Analyst, you will:

• Conduct privacy reviews for OpenText's client-facing services, projects, and products, incorporating data privacy principles.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to integrate data privacy rules into OpenText services, products, contracts, and projects.
• Support and negotiate complex client-facing privacy-related documents.
• Provide data privacy advice, resolve issues rapidly, and align solutions with customer needs to close deals.
• Perform legal research, conduct risk-based assessments, and address privacy requirements impacting OpenText's business.
• Identify and mitigate privacy risks and facilitate privacy audits with external auditors.

What you need to Succeed:

• At least 7 years of experience in a global data privacy function with EU expertise, preferably in a major law firm or multinational corporation.
• Qualified lawyer/attorney with knowledge of global data privacy regulations.
• Understanding of existing and emerging legal and regulatory developments in the EU, USA, Canada, and China affecting data privacy.
• CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent privacy certification is a plus.
• Proficient in contract drafting.
• Fluent in English.
