Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager, Business Solutions & Project Services, the Senior Systems Analyst is responsible to maintain, implement, and configure business enterprise applications such as ERP, Financial, HRIS and others as applicable. Design and develop system solutions, software solutions, including complex IT problem solving analytics, providing support and guidance to the Systems Analysts, and lead project teams and IT staff as appropriate. Responsible for documentation standards, and governance guidelines for the Applications portfolio. Acts as Tier 3 support for corporate wide systems, providing technical leadership for all Town business application solutions.

Job Requirements
  1. Formal post-secondary degree in Computer Sciences and experience in business systems, customer service or an approved combination of education and experience.

  2. Specialized training and advanced experience in the areas of database administration, software development life cycle, applications administration with a customer support focus, providing service at a subject matter expert level.

  3. Specialized education and in-depth experience in enterprise applications databases, operating systems, and web services object-oriented programming.

  4. Experience in a municipal environment, understanding of municipal business functions and requirements.

  5. Proven analytical, leadership and collaborative communications skills.

  6. Ability to work independently, prioritize work assignments, lead or participate in project teams, working within tight deadlines.

  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a thorough understanding of interpreting customer IT business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements and/or process workflows.

  8. Availability to work unscheduled overtime and/or flexible hours as may be required to meet deadlines and ability to exercise discretion and judgment when handling confidential/sensitive information.

  9. Valid Class "G" Driver's License in good standing and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
