What you'll do

It's safe to say, there's no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

  • Responsible for reporting and analysis of all carrier performance for TJXC against contractual requirement, by interpreting complex data, identifying, and working to resolve issues for rate, capacity and transit data management, supporting SOX audit and compliance including record retention.
  • Accountable for recommending operational plans and evaluating performance of all carriers against contractual requirements and reporting on performance and exceptions to Operations
  • Assists in SOX audit and compliance including record retention to fulfill compliance requirements on behalf of TJXC Logistics
  • Applies specialized knowledge to maintain lane layer primary carrier capacity integrity by reviewing coverage and making recommendations on lanes without rates (resources)
  • Identifies, resolves, and escalates issues for rate, capacity, and transit data management activities as required, assisting in resolving issues such as discrepancies in rates, resources, and exceptions to standard processes by drawing on past knowledge and expertise for nonstandard situations
  • Ensures all contractual requirements including signatories in accordance with AAS and documents required for completeness are in place prior to go live with carriers/ 3PL
  • Laison with Freight Payment team to provide all relevant carrier rate information including timely payment of all contractual obligations by TJXC and maintain accuracy for third party Freight Audit and Payment Company
  • As first point of escalation, resolves issues and discrepancies with rate structures between carriers/3PLs, GS&P and operations
  • Designs, develops, and implements continuous improvement and best practices across carriers to optimize cost efficiencies through application of market insights and trends
  • Maintains and publishes carrier\3PL Labour Contract information and proactively calls out to Operations potential issues relating to such in a timely manner

What you'll need

To begin your career with us, we require the following:

  • Minimum four (4) years' experience in logistics, transportation, and supply chain
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or discipline e.g. logistics, supply chain an asset but not required
  • Understanding of Logistics carrier contracts and terms and conditions
  • Strong research and analytical skills, ability to identify problems, investigates issues, discrepancies and prepares responses for anticipated questions; understands the needs of the audience when presenting information
  • Strong data analytics applications experience (e.g. Excel) to complete reporting and analysis with ability to identify business assumptions and results
  • Excellent business analytics skills with ability to interpret and articulate complex data findings at a high level to appropriate business partners and assimilate / present data to Senior Management
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate logistics challenges and opportunities to non-logistics functions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; identifies problems and risks systematically and/or methodically while recommending potential solutions
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to implement and manage details, prioritize, time manage and multi-task with limited supervision and sometimes under time pressure

Salary Range: $73,190 - $102,410/year

This represents the expected hiring range and may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered may be higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
