2025 Insurance, Winter Data Analyst (4 months)

Participates in and supports the operational activities of the Insurance Data Management Office (IDMO) with a primary focus on reviewing and updating the data classification for Insurance's applications/system. Applies experience and complete working knowledge of the job and policies/practices to perform a combination of routine tasks and varied administrative/operational assignments to support IDMO.

What will you do?

• Performing data classification review and updates for Insurance's applications/systems
• Ensuring alignment with the Enterprise data classification as outlined in the Enterprise Data Security Standards.
• Partnering with IT and business stakeholders to ensure project/initiative timelines are met
• Ensuring changes in the Enterprise Data Security Standards are applied and enforced.
• Contributing to defined projects or tasks under direct supervision
• Developing product or service knowledge and competence in tools and business processes used in the department.

What will you need to succeed?

Must have

• Currently be enrolled in post-secondary education
• Ability to lead meetings and engage business stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong working experience with MS Office Professional Suite

Nice to have

• Experience in Insurance or financial products/services

• Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or
• If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
