** This is a great opportunity for a candidate who's currently a Sr. Accountant at a firm to branch out into industry, become a subject matter expert in Business Intelligence tools, and work in a fast paced publicly traded company**

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Contribute to the development, and maintenance of strategic dashboards and reports for senior management
  • Support senior management and the business in a variety of reporting and analytical needs including reporting on key performance indicators ("KPI"), benchmarking, data visualizations, and routine and ad hoc reporting
  • Perform quality assurance to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and usability of all reports before they are released, including soliciting feedback from end users
  • Create documentation of the technical specifications related to the reports
  • Perform data analysis to identify and uncover new and innovative insights from existing or potential data sources to identify business opportunities
  • Assess the design of reporting and propose improvements to the process and reporting
  • Extract, transform and analyze complex information from a variety of database and systems/software
  • Support the development of the data architecture for Business Intelligence
  • Seek ways to improve the interactivity and impact of the dashboards you develop
  • Performing other duties and support various projects as assigned
Who You Are:
  • You have Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Math, or related discipline with a Chartered Professional Accounting Designation (Canadian)
  • You have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in large organization or accounting firm using Microsoft BI technologies (SQL, Power BI, Excel)
  • You enjoy diving into details but also have the ability to think strategically
  • You are an excellent communicator (verbal and written) with ability to break down complex accounting terms and data in simplified format
  • You are an advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • You have strong organizational and time management skills with a sense of urgency and accountability
  • You have a continuous improvement mindset, and like to spend time staying abreast of latest technologies and best practices.
  • You may also have experience with other BI tools such as Tableau etc., which would be an asset.
