About the Role:

The Manager, Employee Experience focuses on leading the design and implementation of people and culture solutions for the full employee experience (EX) lifecycle at SE Health. This is accomplished by utilizing inclusive and collaborative user experience (UX) principles and human centered design thinking approaches founded on people analytics and trends to understand why employees join, stay and leave the organization. As a professional, you understand Customer Experience (CX) methods (journey roadmaps, persona building and more). You will be able to transfer your knowledge and apply it to the employee journey. You are a curious data and design enthusiast who enjoys tracking, analyzing, and discussing metrics to discover people solutions and build initiatives for employees. Reporting to the Senior Director, Culture & Employee Experience, this functional leadership role will research, analyze, design, implement, and measure multiple people projects and programs Canada-wide resulting in improved employee engagement, inclusion, and retention to make work great at SE Health in alignment with our People Everything philosophy.

About the Team:

The Employee Experience (EX) Team is part of the Human Resources department and works collaboratively with all leaders and partners across the SE Health! We design strategic and proactive people initiatives to take excellent care of our employees, so that they can continue to provide outstanding and loving care to our healthcare clients across Canada. Our team's current focus areas include retention, engagement, onboarding, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-oppression (DEIA). We have a dedicated, talented, and caring group of individuals in the HR team who are committed to bringing hope and happiness at SE Health. To complement our skills, the EX team needs a caring collaborator and analytics enthusiast to help us design exquisite employee experiences. We value fresh perspectives to help us reimagine work and talent in new ways to support a workforce of nearly 9,000 employees.

What You'll Primarily Work On:

· Developing UX design strategies and tools for the employee lifecycle to support the physical, digital, and cultural experience of the work environment. Partners to build journey maps and personas to identify pain points and moments that matter to employees. Maintains strong partnerships to identify and share trends and risks driven by data.

· Leads people projects and initiatives to refine and evaluate employee experience programs. Utilizes data from employee listening to support leaders with action planning. Routinely influences key interested parties and navigates organizational ambiguity. Incorporates change management principles identifying and delivering early-wins and long-term solutions.

· Builds out various talent strategies and tools for all stages of the employee journey. Creates techniques to deeply explore the employee voice with employee listening practices (surveys, focus groups, discussions). Facilitates learning for the organization in assigned areas.

· Evaluates data (e.g., employee feedback, focus groups, surveys, online platforms) and develops story narratives to present findings. Prepares reports, dashboards and summaries of employee experience related KPIs e.g. turnover, retention, DEIA, engagement. Advises leaders and makes recommendations.

· Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree completion in a relevant field (or relevant combination of work experience and professional development)
  • 5 years' experience in an employee experience (EX) or user design (UX) or Customer Experience (CX) role with a focus on project management and data analytics that can be applied to human resources and workforce initiatives.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in MS Office technology, data analysis and people metrics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively convey messaging and deliver advice and training. Strong relationship building skills to address situations with empathy, respect, and professionalism. Resourceful and able to deal positively with ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to DEIA in the workplace and/or in the community.
  • Able to work productively independently and as a team in a fast-paced and hybrid environment that requires sound judgement with some decision-making on sensitive issues. Detail-oriented and able to manage time accurately to prioritize work across multiple simultaneous activities.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS FOR THE IDEAL PROFILE:

  • Familiarity with the not-for-profit or healthcare sector is helpful and nice to have in this role.
  • Management or supervisory experience is useful in the role to relate to and advise leaders. Currently, this is an individual contributor role
