The Pricing Manager plays a crucial role in driving business growth by developing and implementing pricing strategies that maximize revenue and profitability. This position works closely with the Director Analytics to analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to set optimal pricing levels and present their findings to Pricing Council. The Pricing Manager ensures the accuracy and integrity of pricing data and collaborates with various departments to support pricing decisions and strategies.

In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize revenue and profitability. Collaborating closely with the Director of Analytics, you will analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to set optimal pricing levels and present your findings to the Pricing Council. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and integrity of pricing data, and you will work with various departments to support pricing decisions and strategies.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Pricing Strategy Development: Develop, design and optimize pricing strategies that align with business objectives and market conditions.
  • Price Change Recommendations: Based on developments and our strategies, prepare specific proposals for changes including supporting analytics.
  • Understanding Price Elasticity and Price Impact: Analyze pricing changes to understand impact to bottom line of those changes, price elasticity and competitive responses to our changes.
  • Pricing Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of pricing data and maintain pricing databases.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to inform pricing decisions.
  • Reporting: Working with BI, champion the development of pricing tools to make the management of pricing easier and transparent.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pricing strategy, revenue management, or a related field.
  • Strong background in data analysis, pricing models, and margin optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement pricing strategies to improve profitability and market competitiveness.
  • Deep understanding of pricing optimization theory, analytics and algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience with pricing tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proven experience working in industries such as manufacturing, technology, or B2B companies where pricing plays a key role.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales, product management, and finance teams.
  • Expertise in managing dynamic pricing, discounting policies, and cost-plus or value-based pricing frameworks.
  • Experience leading pricing projects involving both qualitative and quantitative analysis to support business decisions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar data tools for pricing analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on strategic thinking and driving data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
