Summary:
Cam Tran is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Engineering Data Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with ERP/MRP systems, particularly with data entry and Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, as well as experience in reading engineering drawings. The Engineering Data Specialist will play a key role in ensuring that our manufacturing processes are supported by accurate and up-to-date data, facilitating smooth production workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry and BOM Creation: Create and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) within the company's MRP system (Industrios), ensuring alignment with engineering drawings and production requirements.
  • ERP/MRP System Management: Utilize and maintain data in the ERP/MRP system (Industrios), ensuring that all production-related data is entered correctly and consistently, and supporting material planning, procurement, and production scheduling.
  • Engineering Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings to create or update BOMs, ensuring all components, materials, and specifications are correctly documented.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, production, and procurement teams to resolve any data discrepancies and ensure that BOMs are accurate and comprehensive.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for optimizing the BOM process and improving data accuracy and system efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Perform routine checks and audits of BOM data in the MRP system to ensure its accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards.
  • Documentation: Ensure that all BOMs and related documents are properly stored, organized, and easy to access for reference by other departments as needed.
  • Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to other team members on the use of the ERP/MRP system (Industrios) and best practices for data entry and BOM creation.

Education & Qualification Requirements

Experience:

  • Proven experience working with an ERP/MRP system, preferably Industrios.
  • Strong background in data entry, specifically in the creation and maintenance of BOMs.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and ability to interpret technical specifications.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
