This opportunity offers a full-time career-oriented position with our growing and dynamic team of engineering professionals. We are seeking a Process Engineer to join and work in a flexible role that includes engineering and design for various technologies within the oil, gas and chemical sector. In this role, you will be a part of the Oil & Gas team, based in Brampton, ON office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Work includes conceptual studies, detailed design, field installation, and construction support in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
  • PFD / HMB development.
  • P&ID development (SmartPlant P&ID with linked database).
  • Participation in Process Hazard Analysis (What-if/HAZID/HAZOP).
  • Detailed hydraulic modelling (PipeFLO Professional, AFT Fathom).
  • Engineering calculations for design and sizing of equipment.
  • Population of Equipment/Instrumentation specifications and datasheets.
  • Technical Bid Evaluation of equipment packages, vendor document review.
  • Preparation of Process Control Philosophy and Plant Operating Manual
    Commissioning support.

What your experience looks like

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering or related subjects.
  • 3-8 years' experience as a Process Engineer.
  • P&ID creation within the SmartPlant P&ID environment, including database population and report generation (piping line list, instrument list, equipment list etc).
  • Any SmartPlant administrative experience will be considered an asset.
  • Process Modelling Experience (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.
