Job Summary

This is a critical role working as a member of the FP&A team. This role will complete complex financial planning and analysis requirements, offering accurate reporting and thorough analysis of key business information and drivers. The Senior Financial Analyst is a tactical reporter of the business, with a financial focus that extends to all operating areas of the business, reporting to the Manager, FP&A. The ideal candidate is a professional who thrives on using advanced tools for finance systems, visual dashboarding & data mining.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • This position is for senior-level finance professionals that are looking for a fast-paced work environment with ample opportunity for growth and learning
  • Perform financial forecasting and budgeting to support business planning and decision-making processes
  • Lead in the creation of financial, operational & executive dashboards using Power BI
  • Experience with SQL programming or other database query knowledge for database modeling
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite software and Windows operating systems
  • Partners with cross-functional teams in identifying cost efficiencies for the business and evaluating cost management
  • Responsible for developing financial models, costing models, scenario analysis models, etc. to analyze product profitability using facts, data and financial analysis tools
  • Compile, analyze and distribute summary information relating to KPI's & other metrics
  • Coordinate the implementation of processes that facilitate a more efficient month-end review process
  • Ensuring the accurate completion of monthly financial analysis for review by the Manager
  • Assist in the implementation and development of new systems and processes

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Senior Financial Analyst
  • University Degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a focus on finance, accounting, or economics. Equivalent education or experience may be considered
  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) or equivalent, or working towards the accounting designation
  • Proven ability to be self-driven, capable of adapting to change and simultaneously managing multiple tasks/ projects/ assignments
  • Ability to work with and manage confidential information and use independent judgment
  • Proven ability to work using Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience with application conversion and process re-engineering
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Preferred

  • Previous experience in corporate, manufacturing and/or supply chain logistics environment would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge in preparing PowerPoint presentations for senior management
  • Experience working with WMS OR TMS software
