As the Retail Operations Insight Analyst, you will be the go-to expert for delivering impactful insights on store performance and retail trends. Your recommendations will help shape improvements in sales tactics, operational best practices, and market share opportunities across our Home stores. Led by the Retail Operations Manager, this opportunity suits an analytical and insights driven professional eager to see their work directly influence store performance and Dealer success.
Ready to make an impact in a new role? Here's how:
- Proactively deliver sales and operational insights by analyzing and synthesizing data from multiple sources (syndicated data, market research, retailer POS, internal data sources).
- Provide the Retail Operations team and Dealers with models to aid understanding and targeting store results.
- Distill key messages through storytelling to various stakeholders.
- Identify data quality issues and work closely with Analytics teams by implementing measurable improvements on behalf of the Retail Operations team.
- Understand business requirements and collaborate with the cross-functional Analytics team to provide requirements for the development of high business value reports and dashboards.
- Turn data analytics into meaningful and actionable sales and operational insights.
- Create and maintain statistically robust models and use standard analysis, reports and model deployment based on the relevant information to ensure maximum benefit.
We're looking for:
- Diploma or degree in Business, Data Analytics or Data Science is preferred.
- Three to five years of analytical experience in forecasting and statistical modelling.
- Analytical problem solver, with advanced knowledge of syndicated third-party data.
- Advanced knowledge of PowerBI, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of CRM is an asset.
- Effective analytical storytelling through presentation of insights in a clear, coherent and compelling format.
- Strong multi-tasker who can work independently and in a team environment.
- Solid business acumen and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in the Retail industry, with familiarity in Hardware / Lumber and Building Material industries, is an asset.
- Ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
