About the role

Perform various levels of integration and system testing, including integration, functional tests.

These activities include:

  • Develop and validate test procedures that will verify the functionality of Submarine Combat Systems
  • Provide instructional sessions to the Navy on Lockheed Martin Combat systems
  • Support the Lead instructor with courseware development, validation and delivery
  • Supporting the Lead Integration Specialist in the integration of new subsystems onboard the platforms
  • Develop engineering specification to provide up to date capabilities to the fleet
  • Produce technical reports documenting and investigating deficiencies, recommending solutions as field service representative
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and follow established processes
  • Perform various other tasks related to the Lockheed Martin Combat Systems as required such as light manufacturing, developing prototypes and proof of concepts
  • Testing Lab Management/ Equipment Maintenance
  • Support the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) functionality with shipping, receiving and tracking of spare components and the return to service
  • Software Installation and Configuration
  • Work with a variety of test equipment, including signal generators, fibre optic testers, oscilloscope.

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with five years of professional experience; or three years of professional experience with a related master’s degree
  • Understanding of Canadian Naval Concept of Operations (CONOPS) Operational understanding of the interactions of sensors/weapon systems fitted on the Victoria Class Submarines.

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Knowledge of Ethernet networks
  • Victoria Class submarine experience.
