About the role
Join the Portfolio Insurance team in Insurance and Securitization where you will apply your client relationship and risk management skills to conduct the day-to-day underwriting requirements that satisfy business needs. You will draw on your analytical skills and computer skills to create reports to be provided to stakeholders to help them with regulatory and policy compliance.

This is a temporary position of a duration of 13 months.

What you'll do:

  • Leverage the automated process to underwrite and recommend for approval assigned Portfolio Insurance applications.
  • Validate insurance for securitization purposes.
  • Ensure data is accurate and valid by conducting quality checks and being attentive to detail.
  • Through the use of appropriate analytical tools, create reports for internal and external stakeholders with a focus on developing and presenting information in a way that is clear and easily understood.
  • Make recommendations to streamline and operationalize procedures and data reporting as necessary.

What you should have:

  • An undergraduate degree in business administration, economics, or a related field, with a minimum of one year experience in data analytics and/or business analytics.
  • An expertise in using the standard Microsoft suite, as well as comfort in running computer stored programs, utilizing open-source tools (such as R, Python) and data visualization (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong data analysis, data verification and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to capture, synthesize and present information and complex ideas with clarity.


It would be great if you also had:

  • A knowledge of the Mortgage industry and/or Mortgage Insurance.
  • Risk management exposure and/or training.
