Senior Business Analyst - Digital Banking - Canada (Remote)

Description:
We seek a Senior Business Analyst with digital banking experience with Canadian credit unions: Central1 Forge, VeriPark, or Intellect Design. Aequilibrium is a dynamic and agile tech professional services company. This role will be integral to a collaborative and cross-functional team and contribute to innovative and impactful projects.

Who you are:

As our Senior Business Analyst, you will provide input on the entire project life cycle, from sales support, discovery, and planning (research, consulting) to the implementation phase.

Reporting to the CEO, you will combine an understanding of digital transformation, software development lifecycles, technology platforms, and user interface design principles to help facilitate and support application development and delivery while ensuring project deliverables meet documented specifications.

You will be comfortable taking charge of projects by extracting, analyzing, and validating our clients' business requirements. This includes documentation reviews, stakeholder interviews, group facilitation, and other requirements-gathering exercises to articulate process flows and business needs. With this information, you will convert requirements into software development specifications for internal and external development teams using various software modeling documentation techniques.

What you will be doing:

  • Act as a consultant and facilitator for credit union clients in their digital transformation journey to select, integrate, customize, and deploy new digital banking platforms.
  • Use your expertise with digital banking platforms (Forge, VeriPark, Intellect Design, eBankIT, and Temenos) and work with the client and the AEQ executive team to co-create a digital strategy and recommendation aligned to the credit union's needs.
  • Work with stakeholders and project teams to research, collect, prioritize, and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as a customer representative to internal development teams to ensure solutions satisfy client needs.
  • Act as an ambassador for Aequilibrium and maintaining a close relationship with the client throughout the project lifecycle.

Must-Have Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Experience working for Canadian credit unions on digital banking projects with platforms like BackBase, Forge, eBankIT, VeriPark, Intellect Design, or Temenos.
  2. Professional services experience with direct client engagement in financial services or the banking sector.
  3. 5+ years working in a business systems planning role in a Canadian tech professional services environment, fintech, or credit union.
  4. Experience working in an Agile environment, using cross-functional and remote teams.
  5. Experience supporting the entire client lifecycle with a tech professional services organization: business development (pitch support), discovery and planning, and delivery of digital banking platform integration and customization.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. A university degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
