Within Azure Data, the Microsoft Fabric platform team builds and maintains the operating system and provides customers a unified data stack to run an entire data estate. The platform provides a unified experience, unified governance, enables a unified business model and a unified architecture.
Microsoft Fabric is quite possibly the most exciting Microsoft service today, frequently in the news, growing its user base very rapidly, and making waves across the industry. The OneLake & Fabric Resource Manager are core components of Fabric Platform. We rely on different Azure technologies like Service Fabric, SQL Azure, REDIS cache, Service Bus, Blob storage, Kusto, ARM templates, Azure Automation etc. We are building a world class service that combines big data, mission critical data and real-time data. This combination makes this area possibly the most cutting edge across the entire industry!

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C++, C#, Java
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C++, C#, Java
- OR equivalent experience.
- Passion for building highly performant scalable services.
- Proficient technical problem solving and debugging skills.
- Passion for quality with experience designing and implementing automated tests, including unit tests and integration tests.
- Effective communication skills.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year.

- Design components that handle various types of errors on Azure.
- Write clean and well-structured code with solid tests for maintainability, and be proficient in C#.
