Position: Partnership Insights & Strategy Lead
Department: Partnership Sales & Marketing
Reports to: Director, Partnership Strategy

Position Summary:

The Partnership Insights & Strategy Lead is responsible for optimizing corporate partnership assets to maximize revenue, mastering research and measurement tools to drive value for prospects/partners, and utilizing insights to drive decision making that supports the department's annual revenue and retention objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Analytics & Measurement

  • Convert complex analytical insights into easily digestible data points to better frame our club's story and unique selling proposition for our partnership sales and marketing team
  • Lead development of partnership measurement and analytics in collaboration with Partnership Marketing for partner recaps and proving ROI
  • Manage relationships with department tools/resources, such as Nielsen SportsConnect, Blinkfire Analytics, Trajektory, and SponsorUnited; responsible for accessing, analyzing, and communicating data and insights from these sources to the department to elevate storytelling
  • Research and report best practices to guide partnership sales strategy and further build value to our current partners (e.g. 'like' club benchmarks, league best practices, fan data, etc.)
  • Proactively utilize fan and organizational insights to create category reports to help guide Partnership Sales team in effective prospecting efforts

Inventory

  • Develop and manage internal methodology for rate card adjustment recommendations and asset delivery adjustments to deliver revenue maximization strategies
  • Manage all aspects of department CRM, including (but not limited to) inputting new/custom inventory, ensuring deal points are accurately uploaded, updating rate cards in order to streamline sales processes, and taking part in bi-weekly status calls with CRM solution provider
  • Streamline Corporate Partnerships revenue opportunities in CRM and evaluating proposals for available inventory and deal fit

Reporting

  • Manage all aspects of department reporting including (but not limited to) Partnership Sales Forecasting, Inventory Sales and Availability, and Partner Performance Tracking on a regular basis
  • Lead relationship with Finance department to provide reporting/analysis that includes (but not limited to) reconciling contracts, updating revenue and diligence reports, and special projects as they are needed
  • Coordinate reconciliation of agreements with Finance and Legal departments

Operations/Misc

  • Lead department weekly operations and sales meeting and action log
  • Take active role in new business, renewal, and partner recap presentations as the data insights expert
  • Provide overall support to department and lead on special projects

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years' experience in insights, analytics, partnerships or business management related field
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field such as data analytics, marketing or business management
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels within an organization
  • Ability to convert complex analytical insights into easily digestible data points for unique selling presentations
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented with outstanding time management skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Dynamic, hardworking, confident; a go-getter, with drive and initiative
  • Committed to ensuring superior customer service and supporting the team
  • Self-starter who can multitask and work with minimal supervision
  • Dynamic presentation skills and storytelling capabilities
  • Experience drafting and editing business proposals is an asset
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends throughout NHL, AHL, and NLL seasons
