Corporate FP&A Analyst

We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Corporate FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business decision-making and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, willingness to learn new systems, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to all levels of the organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes. Analyze trends and variances to ensure accurate financial projections.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present financial reports, performance metrics, and variance analysis to senior management. Provide actionable insights to drive business performance and support strategic initiatives.
  • Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, including consolidation and analysis of departmental budgets and forecasts.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide analytical support for business decisions. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and reporting activities.
  • SG&A Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on SG&A expenses. Develop and maintain detailed expense tracking models and provide insights into cost drivers, variances, and trends.
  • Working Capital Management: Analyze working capital components including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory. Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and improve working capital efficiency.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling to support strategic projects and business initiatives as needed.

Who You Are:

  • Willingness to develop financial modeling and analysis skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, and financial software (e.g., Oracle).
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI (Tableau, etc) would be helpful
  • Attributes: Proactive, results-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities. A strong team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in finance-related roles
  • Experience in Manufacturing or Forestry is helpful, but not required.

Compensation:

  • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The salary range is between $65,000 and $85,000 annually.
