Job Description
We are looking for an exceptional, intellectually curious and diligent individual to join the Global Research and Strategy team in Vancouver. You will be a critical contributor to our global strategic research projects and also contribute to regional research initiatives. You will deliver best-in-class data analysis, research and insights across multiple sectors and geographies. You will leverage your skillset to research, analyse, interpret and disseminate views on structural thematic, economic, capital and real estate market trends in support of generating investment theses and supporting individual deals. Research and strategy are a core and integral part of the investment process.
Based in Vancouver, the Analyst, Research will report to the Vice President, Global Research & Strategy and work closely with members of the Global Research team to support the global investment mandate of QuadReal. QuadReal's Global Research team is responsible for conducting property market, capital market and macroeconomic research on major real estate markets in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
Responsibilities
Support the analysis of global real estate market trends by tracking and interpreting data on economics, demographics, and capital markets (particular focus on global markets, United States, Asia Pacific, and Europe)
Create and maintain research collateral, including slide decks, presentations, databases, market models, etc.
Assist in real estate investment underwriting and contributing to investment memoranda by providing market analysis
Communicate market and strategic trends and recommendations for internal and external consumption (where applicable) through engaging and interesting visualisation and/or succinct written or verbal commentary
Respond to inbound queries as it relates to markets/sectors efficiently and diligently to various internal/external stakeholders
Support the advancement of identifying and applying quantitative methods/tools to improve further insight and efficiency in analysis
Build specialisms in analytics, mapping/visualization, and/or "alternative" real estate and demonstrate a continuous willingness to learn and develop new tools and skillsets that can advance research influence
Collaborate with members of the research, investment, and international teams located in Vancouver and other international offices
Your Background
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Real Estate, Urban Planning/ Geography, Mathematics/Statistics or a related discipline, with a passion for research and real estate.
Preferred minimum 2-3 years' experience in real estate or institutional investment, research, economics, private equity, consulting, or finance. Some international experience would be considered an asset.

Intellectually curious mindset with an ability to see the "big picture"
Demonstrable interest and ability in fusing the "qualitative" with the "quantitative"
Willingness to understand and interpret megatrends and subsequent implications for real estate
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a "storytelling" ability
Able to work across multiple workstreams and jurisdictions simultaneously and effectively
Keep current on key major political developments, policy, regulatory and legislative changes and their implications for real estate
High Microsoft Office proficiency and particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with at least three of the following: GIS, SQL, PYTHON, Power BI, Macrobond, ESRI, economic/real estate data systems (e.g., RCA, MSCI, Green Street Analytics, Oxford Economics), use of AI tools and applications
Must be extremely proactive and work well in a collaborative environment. A demonstrated self-starter with the ability to take guidance and move projects forward independently.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $105,000.
The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual's skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
