The salary range for this position is CAD $34.67 - $49.83 / hour

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Relief Full-Time Privacy Analyst, Auditing and Incident Management working at Central City located in Surrey, British Columbia. This position goes until July 16, 2024, or return of incumbent.
We are looking for applicants with;
- Diploma in Health Information Management and/or related field
- Five (5) years' recent, related experience in a medium to large sized organization including information analysis, database administration, report writing and experience in auditing electronic health information systems
- or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Detailed Overview
Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:
Responsible for providing intake services and support to Fraser Health's (FH) Information Privacy Office. Oversees the ongoing development of comprehensive audit tools for clinical information systems by developing, maintaining, disseminating and coordinating privacy compliance audit reports and related information. Analyzes and prioritizes all requests for consultation, and assists in the investigation of potential and/or actual information privacy breaches according to established best practices and regulatory body (The Office of the Information Privacy Commissioner for BC) compliance requirements. Assists with the development and implementation of FH-wide information privacy program policies, processes and procedures for compliance with current legislation.
Responsibilities
- Manages the information privacy audit software system by supporting, developing and maintaining the business processes necessary to ensure effective privacy controls and compliance with BC's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA).
- Participates in strategic planning, support and change management services by assisting the Coordinator in streamlining business processes and best practices to ensure FOIPPA compliance.
- Conducts business analysis of current FOIPPA compliance by carrying out workflow analysis, developing privacy information systems reports and repositories, and automating/updating current business processes within the portfolio.
- Works on assigned privacy projects and develops privacy impact assessments under the direction of the Coordinator by providing privacy analysis support and research.
- Researches and analyzes information privacy audit data for anomalies, trends, issues, continuous improvement activities and/or potential privacy breach situations. Provides assistance in the resolution of real and/or potential privacy breaches and related issues that may arise by following up with affected managers and department heads.
- Supports process changes and/or functional changes to privacy audit tools by testing, modifying and maintaining these tools. Resolves operational issues with audit systems and follows up with service providers, as required.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of information privacy goals, objectives, policies and procedures for the department.
- Participates on assigned internal and external committees, as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Diploma in Health Information Management and/or related field, supplemented with five (5) years' recent, related experience in a medium to large sized organization including information analysis, database administration, report writing and experience in auditing electronic health information systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
