Join our newly developed, centralized Academic Quality and Operational Excellence (AQOE) team at NAIT, and put your talents to work as the Senior Business Analyst.

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Senior Business Analyst to join our leadership team. This role requires exceptional communication and collaboration skills, as well as strong proficiency in business systems and information technology. Reporting to the Director of Academic Operations, you will play a key role in the strategic evolution of AQOE by way of analyzing complex interconnected cross-functional business needs, designing improved processes, and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive cross-functional business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Systems Integration & Workflow Analysis: Drive the interconnection and integration of systems to improve data flow, enhance user experience, and increase operational efficiency. Conduct workflow analysis to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
  • Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Engage with stakeholders to understand complex interconnected cross-functional business needs, define requirements, and translate them into functional solutions.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance efficiencies, and streamline cross-functional business operations, ensuring seamless integration between systems and departments.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, academic operations, and academic leadership, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of solutions.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize data-driven insights to support decision-making, create reports, and track key performance indicators.
  • Technology & Systems Expertise: Leverage business applications, enterprise systems, and data tools to enhance business operations and support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Project Management: Support project planning and execution, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring clear understanding and alignment on project objectives.

  • A collaborative problem solver with the ability to work across teams and departments by gaining the confidence and trust of others.
  • A detail-oriented professional with a strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret complex data.
  • A tech-savvy business analyst with expertise in business systems, process automation, and digital solutions.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, process mapping, and workflow automation.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools, databases, and enterprise systems.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall) is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Remuneration: $82,189.64 - $108,886.96 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
