We're currently hiring for a Business Analyst for our Information Technology department. There's more to any job than words on a page, but the focus of this role is performing strategic analyses for various departments in support of corporate goals and objectives. On any given day, the Business Analyst is responsible for:

  • Lead requirements analysis, validation and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or requirements workshops.
  • Collaborate with project managers, system owners, and end users to further refine business operations requirements and goals.
  • Transfer requirements knowledge and works with application developers to design solutions to user concerns.
  • Integrate new or revised business processes for incorporation into strategic decision making.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
  • Prepare technical reports for use by IT staff personnel in support of technical services activities.
  • Design, develop, and distribute training for impacted business users.
  • Perform data analysis using SQL or other tools as necessary.
  • Assists end users to resolve issues.
  • Effectively communicate relevant information to IT Management.
  • Assist in enforcement of project deadlines, schedules and methodologies.

  • University degree, diploma or technical certificate in computer science or related field is preferred.
  • Must have CBAP certification.
  • 5 years direct work experience as a business analyst.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing business and technical requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience modeling and mapping business processes using proven methodologies and models.
  • Strong application integration experience (design, develop, support and data migration)
  • Ability to troubleshoot business process changes, errors, and subsequent modifications; must be able to do this with the work of other analysts.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks at one time while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Ability to think analytically, solve problems to complex business process and document results.
  • Ability to interpret the operational requirements of ed users, project managers and other stakeholders.
  • The candidate must be process-oriented with sound judgment, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through including the flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment.
  • Perform industry research to clarify, define, or satisfy technology or business process issues.
  • Monitor and manage project scope and enforce change management and develop contingency plans where appropriate.
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with business units that rely on that information to define system requirements or organizational processes.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office 365 and Visio
  • Self-starter and highly motivated to make proactive changes.
  • Effective deadline management and project management skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
