About this opportunity:
Cenovus is looking for a Training and Proficiency Assurance Analyst! As a member of the Training and Competency Assurance team, you will play a vital role in standardizing, developing, and implementing the corporate Competency Assurance Program (CAP). Your expertise in data analytics, reporting, and key metrics will provide leaders with valuable insights for decision-making regarding our competency programs.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in our Competency Assurance Program's ongoing improvement and long-term sustainability. This includes collecting data on revalidation, LOD activity, gap closure, and formal assessment. Collaboration across all Cenovus entities and adherence to Cenovus's Operations Integrity Management System (COIMS) is required.
This is a front facing role that will require working closely with Training Coordinators to strengthen partnerships across client groups and support success of CAP at a site level.
This role will be based out of our corporate office in Calgary, AB. Periodic travel to site to support clients and field implementation will be required.
What you'll do:
Support the Corporate Competency Assurance Program (CAP) and work across the business to ensure the consistent application of the program requirements
Provide guidance for Competency and Training reporting, and provide useful data and tools for the entities
Support various entities by ensuring Competency Assurance requirements are implemented
Work in partnership with our LMS team to provide the structure for digital workbooks and training profiles to the entities
Guide the entities through local self-verification, competency gap assessments, and implementing checks that promote CAP continuous improvement and sustainment.
Collaborate with different team members in the Training and Competency Assurance network to advocate for corporate training initiatives and foster program alignment across Cenovus
Cultivate a collaborative network of training specialists with the goal of finding efficiencies and driving consistency across Competency Assurance activities
Maintain a corporate competency matrix that is scalable across various functional groups
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure Competency Assurance tools and their design are achievable at the entity level and work together to set reasonable expectations for compliance
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Minimum 4+ years of related experience in Competency Assurance Governance
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. A combination of formal education and equivalent experience will be considered
Certification in Adult Learning
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and own a project, and work both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of operating management systems or COIMS
Experience in project management or a work coordination role
Proficient and experienced with Power BI
Experience with the following will be considered an asset:
Document Management System
Learning Management System
An operational background in the oil and gas industry
