Strategic Accounts Analyst

What you will do:

The primary responsibilities of this role, Strategic Accounts Analyst, are to:

  • Develop and improve Strategic Account processes such as: strategic account retail rebate reconciliation, forecasting, targeting setting by product by customer, sell-in phasing, and product allocations and supply;
  • Co-ordinate the collection and analysis of sales data specific to strategic accounts for the purposes of understanding market share, retail segmentation, target lists, inventories and emerging trends;
  • Support the retail and distributor program designs through collaboration within the Strategic Account community, Customer Engagement Marketing, Customer Service, Business Insights and Customer Engagement, Business Intelligence and Product Leads;
  • Own accurate and timely reconciliation of retail and distributor programs through collaboration with the retail reconciliation community. This includes, but is not limited to, detailed QA of rebate reconciliation files, consolidation of required backup files, and tracking of payments with finance;
  • Work closely with Strategic Account Leads and Demand Planning community to accurately forecast sell-in and on-ground sales of both seed and crop protection for communication to North American Bayer Leadership;
  • Gain expert level use of Bayer software application tools (i.e. CRM)
  • Collaborate with Strategic Account Leads on design and achievement of business sales outcomes;
  • Assist in communication with Unit leads, Business Develop Leads and Squads on account strategy and business planning;
  • Help provide Business Insights across all distribution channels - utilize benchmarking and growth opportunity trends;

Who you are:

  • B.A / B.Sc of Agriculture/Business/related discipline (additional advanced degree is an asset)
  • Strong business experience in sales, marketing and data insights
  • Understanding of the Canadian agriculture business landscape and processes
  • Extensive computer skills, specifically MS Excel, Power BI and other data gathering and analysis tools
  • Knowledge of agriculture distributor and retail requirements, structure and operating systems
  • A high degree of leadership and collaboration skills
  • Excellent detail orientation and organization
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Strong English communication skills both verbal and written
