Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Cloud Services & Business Analysis, we are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Business Analyst with a background in the electrical utility sector to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for understanding the business requirements, and configuring, designing, and delivering best-fit solutions.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of business processes, systems, and data within the electrical utility domain.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project objectives, and develop business cases for proposed initiatives.

  • Support the design, implementation, and optimization of business processes and systems.

  • Utilize analytical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive informed decision-making.

  • Provide expertise and guidance on industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies in the electrical utility sector.

  • You are an effective communicator with strong written and oral communication skills.

What you'll bring to us:

  • A Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical utility industry, with a strong understanding of electrical utility operations, including markets, grid management, asset management, and customer engagement.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of leading successful projects from inception to implementation, delivering measurable business value.

  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements in the electrical utility sector.

  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies to ensure stakeholder buy-in.

  • Experience managing multiple cross-functional projects to implement new and complex business lines.

  • Adaptability and resilience to respond to evolving priorities and timelines.
