As a Process Engineer you will be exposed to a wide range of process engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, and operation activities with the opportunity to grow into a Professional Engineer.

As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of a process plant and sustaining performance
  • Contribute to the development of PFD, P&IDs, process calculations and equipment specifications.
  • Participating in Test Plan development and executes Test Plans in collaboration with operating team
  • Working with the engineering team to develop operating procedures that adhere with test plan requirements
  • Monitoring and collecting operational data from pilot plan
  • Analyzing test data by utilizing log sheets and templates that are generated for operating performance
  • Coordinating operational or equipment related problems that affect operating results and trouble shoot when required
  • Providing KPI for test results and produce reports for presentation
  • Contributing to the development of a template for data interpretation and analysis.
  • Working with operations and laboratory colleagues to ensure all data collected is repeatable and consistent

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering with 1 - 3 years experience. Having Master’s in Chemical Engineering and eligible to register in APEGA as EIT is an advantage.
  • Have solid knowledge of Mass Balance, Energy Balance, Heat Transfer, Mass Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Reaction Engineering; including gas treatment processes using a reactive solvent
  • Have previous experience with process modelling and simulation using ASPEN PLUS and ASPEN HYSYS.
  • Have previous industrial experience with gas treatment processes using a reactive solvent is an advantage.
  • Be familiar with additional process simulation tools and experience with Lab View will be an added advantage.
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to clearly present and explain technical terms.
  • Be an effective team contributor with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Be self-motivated, eager to learn and grow and be accountable.
