The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director, Industry Engagement, you will coordinate and champion marketing initiatives in support of the Industry Engagement Office and to drive an increased awareness of SAIT among companies and other industry stakeholder groups. You are a creative and tactical marketing professional with experience developing and executing integrated marketing plans to drive industry partnership and engagement activity.
As the Industry Engagement Marketing Specialist, you strive for an understanding of the programming, priorities and opportunities of your stakeholders and help ensure alignment of marketing priorities and initiatives to SAIT's strategic objectives and Marketing and Recruitment Plan. You will support the implementation of integrated marketing plans by guiding and coordinating the execution of content development, digital innovation, analytics, graphic and multi-media design, and events and PR. Your experience in managing projects is both diligent and inspiring. You strive for both excellence and results through the marketing efforts you lead

Key Responsibilities/Major Duties
Marketing Research and Reporting
Create detailed industry audience segments, customer journey maps, and personas as a foundation to developing effective industry marketing plans.
Track marketing analytics and report on the effectiveness of marketing plans and strategies.
Industry Marketing
Support the development and help lead the execution of go-to-market strategies, i.e., Comms/PR, Marketing/Brand, Product, Innovation on behalf of your stakeholders.
Ensure marketing campaigns are targeted, planned, and measured appropriately.
Support and help lead just-in-time industry marketing solutions.
Ensure projects and campaigns are completed within pre-determined timelines and budget.
Communicate campus capabilities and success stories to industry members through social media (e.g. LinkedIn) and SAIT.ca.
Liaise with marketing professionals at industry partner organizations to develop joint storytelling of mutually beneficial partnerships.
Create marketing campaigns, and materials for company visits, Industry Engagement events, and campus events with corporate focus, where required.
Develop and maintain the Industry Engagement web pages and content on SAIT.ca and Sharepoint.
Stakeholder Services
Collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups to source and verify content, build copy and creative, including XDocs.
Ensure project planning includes stakeholder input and considerations.
Share best practices on marketing to industry through mentorship to schools and departments in support of their own industry marketing efforts.
Support a client-centered approach in all aspects of the work we do, with a focus on transparency and inclusion.
Ensure alignment and integration with SAIT's centralized Marketing team and function by collaborating and joining quarterly meetings, updates, and events.
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in marketing, public relations, or communications
Three to five years of related work experience in marketing
Minimum three years of project management experience
Knowledge and Skills
This position is the subject matter expert in integrated marketing planning and audience segmentation
Superior verbal, written, and visual, communication skills.
Project management and client services skills, collaborative team member, and able to manage multiple projects and deliver on deadlines.
Knowledge of and experience utilizing data analytics in decision making.
Knowledge of and experience using Content Management Systems.
Knowledge of integrated marketing planning and solid understanding of the pillars of marketing including the 5 Ps, advertising appeal techniques, and the marketing funnel.
Organized and detail-oriented, able to maintain quality control and consistency in the look and feel of SAIT's institutional campaigns.
Ability to present publicly to large and small audiences on marketing strategies, trends, and the work that we do.
Working-level skills with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Sharepoint.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly In Design, Premiere Pro) an asset.
