Our Grid Reliability Operations division is looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven, resourceful individual to join our Grid Reliability Services team in a Business Analyst position. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing solutions to help drive growth and success for our organization.

As the Business Analyst for Project Management, you will be responsible for delivering on the success of projects and initiatives within Grid Reliability Services. Over the course of each project, you will gather and analyze information, formulate, and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations. This includes working closely with experts from a variety of professional backgrounds and engaging with various internal teams and departments within the AESO organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for improvement by performing detailed analysis of existing business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement. This includes gathering and analyzing data, conducting interviews with stakeholders, and reviewing existing documentation.

  • Deliver on the success of projects and initiatives within Grid Reliability Services. This includes gathering requirements, identifying dependencies, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Work closely with experts from a variety of professional backgrounds to gather input and ensure that everyone is on the same page. This includes facilitating meetings and workshops to gather input from stakeholders and ensure that everyone is aligned with the project's objectives.

  • Understand the business, system, and technical components of AESO to apply tools and templates to provide a quality solution and consistent deliverables.

  • Develop project artifacts consistent with best practice. This includes creating and maintaining project plans, developing reports and presentations, and tracking project progress.

  • Elicit requirements and identify and analyze improvements to processes. This includes developing and implementing process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Develop and communicate recommendations based on their analysis to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. This includes preparing clear and concise reports and presentations that communicate key findings and recommendations.

You have:

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field: (or equivalent) BA Certification through IIBA or other certifying body desirable.

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field: the successful candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
