The Mascon by TELUS team is currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Business Analyst II to drive business results, through interpreting complex data to help the business make informed decisions. The ideal candidate will transform raw data into structured information, which will then be analyzed to glean insights that drive strategic decision making. This opportunity will give the successful candidate the exposure and opportunity to advance current career paths in areas such as business analysis, project management, and systems support.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze data to extract insights, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations for strategic decision-making
  • Data Cleaning and Preparation: This involves filtering data from multiple sources, handling missing values, and preparing the dataset for analysis to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Data Visualization: Create visual representations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards to make the data understandable
  • Reporting: Prepare reports and presentations to communicate insights and findings from data to stakeholders, which can influence policy and decision-making processes
  • Culture and Environment: Foster and support a high-energy, results-oriented, inclusive work environment that encourages a culture inspiring everyone to give their best to our customers and team
  • Day to day ownership: Working closely with operations to develop, configure, and support technical data solutions to meet their evolving needs

Qualifications

You're the Missing Piece of the Puzzle if You Have:

  • Proven problem-solving, strategic, and analytical capabilities with a convincing track record of setting and delivering against key metrics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adept at simplifying complex data insights for audiences without a technical background
  • A passion for working in a dynamic, high-performance culture with a proactive tendency to identify business opportunities
  • Effective at managing and meeting deadlines for multiple tasks and priorities of varying complexity
  • Proficient in data analysis, with practical experience applying data science techniques in business or operational settings
  • Possess experience with statistical software (such as Excel, SPSS, SAS) and in data analysis languages including SQL, Python, and R

Great-to-Haves

  • A post-secondary degree in a relevant field (e.g.,computer science, data science,information management, business or a comparable discipline)
  • Knowledge of TELUS cross-functional operations and/or industry experience
  • Integration Experience: Experience in migrating customers onto new service support models and/or technologies
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Domo,Tableau,Salesforce
