Overview of role:

WestJet is seeking an Analyst reporting into our WestJet Vacations Revenue team. This individual will exhibit a high standard of excellence, enjoys challenges, taking initiative, and is results driven. The incumbent must be highly motivated and demonstrate the ability to work in an agile environment, both independently, while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

The WestJet Vacations Revenue Management team manages day to day and long-term strategic revenue optimization for WestJet Vacations. What is Revenue Management? It isn't accounting and it exists in many industries. It is why roses cost more on Valentine's Day than the week after, why hotel rooms in Las Vegas cost more on the weekend than mid-week, and why sometimes there are sales for vacation packages many months in advance. Using forecasts of future demand and continual re-optimization of package revenue, the WestJet Vacations Revenue Management team balances guest promise with pricing optimization. Revenue Management is a blend of art and science that requires the combination of strategic thinking and business acumen and an acute ability to make high impact decisions.
