At SMS Equipment, our Senior Business Analysts, find the best options for technologies to meet the business needs, plan with the business for best way to implement and utilize the technologies. The incumbent will oversee and maintain the IT Applications by coordinating the processes required for business operations.

This role is based out of Acheson, AB and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

This role is for a maternity leave coverage until October 2025, with the possibility of extension.

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $101,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 3 Help Desk support for applications in the business area utilizing ServiceNow incidents, ideas, demands, defects, and enhancements.
  • Participate in and lead workshops to identify, analyze and document business policy and process opportunities.
  • Provide support to project managers by communicating how data is being used and how the business operates on the front line.
  • Provide support to the change management team by identifying areas requiring attention from the training group.
  • Participate in the development of user communications.
  • Provide direction to users in terms of the capabilities of emerging technologies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The successful candidate will possess a diploma, certification, or other post-secondary education with a minimum of 5 years of expereince in a related field. Other requirements include:

  • Thorough understanding of regulatory processes, business processes, data structure, reporting and internal controls.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
  • Excellent discipline and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite of products (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
  • Experience with DocuSign, CRM Series, and ServiceNow is preferred.
  • Experience with large ERP systems and software development would be an asset.
  • Ability to proactively identify and manage risk.
